Valencia is the third largest city in Spain. Located on the east coast of the Iberian Peninsula, Valencia overlooks the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. It is home to a variety of fabulous restaurants, gorgeous cathedrals, countless museums, and charming streets.
Valencia was the second largest city that I had visited in Spain, with Madrid being the first. I always say that the most recent city I've visited is my favorite, but I assure you, Valencia will remain at the top of that list for a long time. I'm not sure whether its the architecture, the small and scenic streets, or just my infatuation with Europe (most notably, Spain), but a weekend will never be enough. We began our Saturday at L'Oceanogràfic, an oceanarium that hosts an array of animals. The architecture is one of the most creative and modern designs in the world. It was quite cold that afternoon, so we didn't spend too much time outside. But, we also enjoyed exploring the aquarium. Afterwards, we opted for a traditional Spanish meal, obviously! We had a reservation at the world famous Casa Roberto Restaurante. The meal was absolutely delicious. This restaurant is world known for being the home of the best paella. Our friends met us later and we roamed the streets together; turning corners unknown and grabbing small glasses of wine along the way, we found great boutiques, impressive street murals, and enjoyed the beauty of the city. |
